90210: Premixed

So I just watched the season premiere of the revamped 90210 series. I had this strange curiosity to watch it — when I was growing up, 90210 was possibly the coolest, hippest show out there (and this is an era when Michael Jackson was a hit, as was Khaled’s Didi) and my mom thought it was too much for a child below the age of 10 to watch. It is probably that curiosity factor that has ensured that millions tuned into watch the show’s premiere — to figure out how the show can be cool without Brandon, Brenda, Donna, Dylan, Kelly, Gabriella, Steve and David – - and its surprising how particularly juvenile it struck me to be. I felt like I was watching a Sweet Valley book being played out. I’m sure the show will find its audience and footing just like its erstwhile predecessor, but I’m definitely not watching the show unless Dylan does a cameo.
Ohh wow .. good to know there were other 10 yr olds too in the market watching 90210. Few years back some MBC channel showed a season re-telecast and I was like woah … we were crazy for these kids =)
Me and my sister used to make sure that our parents don’t come near the TV lounge when we were watching 90210 … not to mention random censoring acts … LOLZ!
I was equally enthralled to see Brenda in Charmed laters on. memories …!
Oh and I forgot about those 90210 folders … girls used to bring along in schools – I was so jealous.
